  "Description": "The package implements a method for normalising microarray\nintensities from single- and multiple-color arrays. It can also\nbe used for data from other technologies, as long as they have\nsimilar format. The method uses a robust variant of the\nmaximum-likelihood estimator for an additive-multiplicative\nerror model and affine calibration. The model incorporates data\ncalibration step (a.k.a. normalization), a model for the\ndependence of the variance on the mean intensity and a variance\nstabilizing data transformation. Differences between\ntransformed intensities are analogous to \"normalized\nlog-ratios\". However, in contrast to the latter, their variance\nis independent of the mean, and they are usually more sensitive\nand specific in detecting differential transcription.",
