MIRA aggregates genome-scale DNA methylation data into a DNA methylation profile for a given region set with shared biological annotation. Using this profile, MIRA infers and scores the collective regulatory activity for the region set. MIRA facilitates regulatory analysis in situations where classical regulatory assays would be difficult and allows public sources of region sets to be leveraged for novel insight into the regulatory state of DNA methylation datasets. authors: - family-names: Sheffield given-names: Nathan - family-names: Lawson given-names: John email: jtl2hk@virginia.edu preferred-citation: type: article title: 'MIRA: An R package for DNA methylation-based inference of regulatory activity' authors: - family-names: Lawson given-names: John T - family-names: Tomazou given-names: Eleni M - family-names: Bock given-names: Christoph - family-names: Sheffield given-names: Nathan C journal: Bioinformatics year: '2018' notes: R package version 1.27.0 url: http://code.databio.org/MIRA repository: https://bioc.r-universe.dev repository-code: https://github.com/databio/MIRA url: http://databio.org/mira date-released: '2021-11-21' contact: - family-names: Lawson given-names: John email: jtl2hk@virginia.edu
