This is done on two levels. First, clustering is performed, using an implementation of sparse K-means. Secondly, the generated clusters are used to predict outcomes of groups of individuals based on their distribution of observations in the different clusters. As certain clusters with separating information will be identified, and these clusters are defined by a sparse number of variables, this method can reduce the complexity of data, to only emphasize the data that actually matters. authors: - family-names: Theorell given-names: Jakob email: jakob.theorell@ki.se orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8752-3151 - family-names: Theorell given-names: Axel email: axel.theorell@gmail.com preferred-citation: type: article title: Determination of essential phenotypic elements of clusters in high-dimensional entities - DEPECHE authors: - family-names: Theorell given-names: Axel email: axel.theorell@gmail.com - family-names: Bryceson given-names: Yenan - family-names: Theorell given-names: Jakob email: jakob.theorell@ki.se orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8752-3151 year: '2019' journal: PLoS One url: https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article/comments?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0203247 repository: https://bioc.r-universe.dev date-released: '2024-06-21' contact: - family-names: Theorell given-names: Jakob email: jakob.theorell@ki.se orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8752-3151
