The method uses a Bayesian hierarchical framework, which allows for sample specific proportions in a Dirichlet-Multinomial model, and samples the allocation of fragments to the transcripts. Parameters are inferred via Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) techniques and a DTU test is performed via a multivariate Wald test on the posterior densities for the average relative abundance of transcripts. authors: - family-names: Tiberi given-names: Simone email: simone.tiberi@uzh.ch - family-names: Tiberi. given-names: Simone preferred-citation: type: article title: 'BANDITS: Bayesian differential splicing accounting for sample-to-sample variability and mapping uncertainty' authors: - family-names: Tiberi given-names: Simone email: simone.tiberi@uzh.ch - family-names: Robinson given-names: Mark D. journal: Genome Biology volume: '21' issue: '69' year: '2020' doi: 10.1186/s13059-020-01967-8 url: https://genomebiology.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s13059-020-01967-8 publisher: name: Springer repository: https://bioc.r-universe.dev repository-code: https://github.com/SimoneTiberi/BANDITS url: https://github.com/SimoneTiberi/BANDITS contact: - family-names: Tiberi given-names: Simone email: simone.tiberi@uzh.ch
